Update Failed

On updating Calculate LXQt I received the following error message:

[ebuild rR ] app-text/calibre-3.15.0::gentoo USE=“ios udisks” PYTHON_TARGETS=“python2_7” 37283 KiB
* 56 packages will be installed, 474096 KiB will be downloaded

The following keyword changes are necessary to proceed:
(see “package.accept_keywords” in the portage(5) man page for more details)

# required by app-text/calibre-3.15.0::gentoo
# required by `selected

required by `world (argument)

=virtual/podofo-build-0.9.6_pre20171027 ~amd64

* Emerge failed
* Update failed

What exactly do I have to do in order to update my Calculate LXQt installation?

Since my query received no response I did the following:

A search revealed the gentoo’s portage 5 man page.

https://dev.gentoo.org/~zmedico/portage/doc/man/portage.5.html

I tried adding a “package.accept_keywords” file with the argument “cl-update=virtual/podofo-build-0.9.6_pre20171027 ~amd64” to etc/portage but that dídn’t work, so I eliminated calibre with emerge C and that allowed be to begin updating (It’s still in process).

Since I may need to use calibre at some point this was a provisional solution and I wish that Calculate’s Forums were a little more responsive.

Hi,
I tested to merge calibre and i don’t have problem.
Did you have an extra overlay ?

No, I have no added overlays.

And I had no trouble emerging calibre either.

The problem was updating and I received an error message identifying calibre as the source of the problem:

[ebuild rR ] app-text/calibre-3.15.0::gentoo USE="ios udisks" PYTHON_TARGETS="python2_7" 37283 KiB * 56 packages will be installed, 474096 KiB will be downloaded

The following keyword changes are necessary to proceed:
(see "package.accept_keywords" in the portage(5) man page for more details)

required by app-text/calibre-3.15.0::gentoo
required by @selected
required by @world (argument)
cl-update=virtual/podofo-build-0.9.6_pre20171027 ~amd64

Emerge failed
Update failed

I created a file in ext/portage named package.accept_keywords with the text “cl-update=virtual/podofo-build-0.9.6_pre20171027 ~amd64” but that didn’t fix the problem.

So I deleted calibre with emerge -C and then I could update.

Remember that calculate desktop lxqt is not an official calculate desktop environment, although it is available via the nightly downloads, but not via the calculate mirrors. (That may or may not be part of the problem).

Thank you for your response-
