[solved] Synology Cloud Client for Calculate Linux - compile deb file to Gentoo

Hello dear Calculate Linux Friends,

just wondering if someone would be able to create a Calculate-Package out of the Ubuntu based DS-Cloud-Client package.

It would be great if the Calculate-Developers could get the Synology Packages (Client) for Calculate Linux compiled.

Waiting full of hope

Dirk

Problem solved:

I made 2 Youtube Videos which show how to get DEB files installed on Calculate Linux (Gentoo)

and the other one shows a little more detail how to add them on a startup etc.

and

Part 2: [[https://www.youtube.com/edit?o=U&video_id=3RdKWAxwxkw]]

if it just helps one person, it was worth my time and efforts

Thanks to all helping

With your permission, I will correct the links

Is docker image an option?

In my opinion it should be easier to setup than converting ubuntu deb to match gentoo system, file structure, config structure etc.

Hello Tomasz,

yes I trust docker would be an option, but I couldn’t find any images of the Synology Clients. For now it is working great and i am very happy and glad running my Calculate Linux again full time with the option to use my Disk-station in full

And I agree, they should make it much easier for multi platform use.
