[Solved] Missing dependency for dosbox-staging => zlib-ng needed

Hello CL team,

For information in the current dosbox-staging package 0.81.1, the dependency with sys-libs/zlib-ng is missing.
The result is dosbox refuses to start with this error message =>
dosbox: error while loading shared libraries: libz-ng.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory.

emerge -1 sys-libs/zlib-ng resolved the issue.

On dosbox-staging website the dependency with zlib-ng is quoted as “optional” however it seems to be mandatory :slight_smile: at least on my CLDM.

I know the missing dependency is not coming from Calculate however i just share the information for the community.

Hi Kenopir,
Thank you! The issue was due to an automatic dependency. On the server where the package was built, zlib-ng was installed, so the package was linked with it. We’ve fixed it now by including the dependency in the binary package.
