Make changes in a profile?

Hello,

Can I change a profile, for example the CLS one? In this profile, xbacklight is mandatory, but this doesn’t work on my Ryzen laptop. I know that acpilight does work, but I can’t install it as it’s being blocked by xbacklight. I also need to remove some wireless packages as they fail to build on 5.9.3 and I don’t need them anyway.

Thank you for the reply and I already checked those :slight_smile: And yes, they were a bit of a help, but the location of the files is a bit different on Calculate it seems and I can’t seem to find the correct file.
For the moment I added the packages in question in ‘packages.provides’, but this is not really a ‘neat’ solution as this is not really what that file is meant for.

So for me the question remains open; how/where do I edit the profile or rather the ‘world’ file in Calculate?

Thank you, but I wasn’t planning to create my own profile/overlay :), just make some changes in the CLS one… But perhaps that’s not possible? Or perhaps I should rephrase my question: how can I keep packages from a profile/world from installing?
