Thanks. I literally have tried every single setting with no success. Sometimes there are three little dots in the middle of the screen and then it goes to a command line login prompt. Other times the spinning circle appears for a while then there is a very brief flash of dialogue in the top left hand corner too fast to decipher and a flashing dash or cursor appears and stays there permanently until I get tired of waiting and power off. Calculate just seems incompatible with my computer for some reason.
