how to build linux kernel 2.6?

I use calculate linux 13.6 (CSS) for my server.

but I want to build kenerl2.6, but still use cl13.6 world, because I can’t install cl13.6 on my vmware server.

how to do it?

What version of vmware you use?
To build iso with your own kernel you can use calculate-assemble or builder option.

emerge =sys-kernel/calculate-sources-2.6.32.61 and mask higher verions.
