Установил Calculate Linux Desktop 9.9.2 KDE с “нуля”, обновил (eix-sync), создал пользователя, добавил в sudoers.
Конфиг ниже:

Пробую включить эффекты кед в Настройках - Рабочий стол, ставлю галочку включить эффекты, там где “движок” (вкладка Дополнительно), стоит OpenGl.
Нажимаю применить - ошибка (Невозможно включить эффект на текущей конфигурации. Будут возвращены прежние параметры)
Если выбрать XRender, то - работает, но тупит …
Куда рыть?

А под пользователем guest эффекты включаются?

Уважаемый DCCooper, если бы Вы посмотрели мой первый пост, в котором приведён даже конфиг иксорга, то, думаю, не стали бы так писать :sunglasses:

Попробуйте переустановить nvidia-drivers, и после этого выполнить

eselect opengl set nvidia
