I’m on Framework 13 with AMD and 64G of ram. If that matters.
After encountering various types of problems with my 7-year-old CLD installation, which went via multiple disks and computers, I’ve decided to do a fresh install.
Have downloaded the latest CLD iso image from 29. aug 2025 and put it on Ventoy disk. Installed a fresh new SSD, and boot the device.
When the desktop environment has started, I can only see few desktop icons, but no panel and other things that one would expect. And the icons cant be clicked/executed.
I managed to start the konsole, and do disk partitioning and started the cl-console-gui-install. But it didn’t go well and at first, the process crashed after the installation had been started. The second attempt issued an error message about missing certificates. So I gave up and decided to give it a try and save the existing install 
Help is much appreciated here.

EDIT: I’ve managed to run and install brand new CLD installation on that computer, after I swapped DRAM modules - it doesnt work with Kingston 2x32G modules for some reason - And when set AMDGPU wihout the compositor flag on grub screen. So I’m closing this topic as it was solved.
