after a few hours of * calculating dependencies … still nothing. no error or similar. i tried with -v but result is the same. no errors no more info. should i wait longer?

emerge --metadata && eix-remote update && eix-update
eclean-dist -d
I do not have problems:
no errors and calculate is istill calculating dependencies…15 minutes for now…
eselect python list
eselect python set 3.6
