Did my weekly update and on restart I have no splash screens untill the login screen…i just have the old scrolling checklist,
that’s not a problem really but , I keep seeing when booting up and shutting down
Warning clock skew detected
this seems to be in different places
I tried Gentoo forums , but the issues there are not really relevant to me, and i don’t know how to correct this issue
i’m not sure if the 2 above aren’t connected in someway
Congratulations on the Anniversary of Calculate linux…
Try to perform by root for repair splash screen:
dracut -fH
Does you see message “Warning clock skew detected
” now?
Thank you for replying
I no longer have the clock skew warning… i was worried that was going to muddle things somewhere
though i still have no splash screens after welcome to Grub i have *Gentoo and check screens leading into the log in screen, which is the first splash screen , i also have the penguin feet and a desktop. nothing when closing down…
its not to bothering would like to know how to fix it though
Thank You again
