Calculate Linux 12.0.3 released

The second update of Calculate Linux 12.0 has been released, with a number of bugs fixed and changes resulting in smaller ISOs.

Changes and Bug Fixes

  • There is no more lag at the first opening of the Thunar file manager, in CLDX.
  • No more error when deleting to the paper bin, for CDS network disks.
  • Booting via PXE has been fixed.
  • NTFS is now handled correctly.
  • Propriertary video drivers are now installed faster at the first start.
  • Grub2 nows updates fine after a kernel update.
  • The Ctrl+Alt+Shift+Del escape has been fixed for XFCE.
  • The XFCE clipboard has been fixed.
  • Opening attachments bug fixed for Claws-Mail.
  • A new icon theme for Claws-Mail.
  • Creating archives in Thunar has been fixed.
  • The Prelink exception had been added for Nvidia.
  • Droid Sans Mono Slashed is now used as the default monospaced font.
  • Contact sorting for domain users in Pidgin has been fixed.
  • The hostname service and network settings are now starting in correct order at boot time.
  • Bold monospaced fonts looking nicely in the terminal.
  • Smaller system images, as we have removed the kernel sources, the duplicate Portage tree, and python3:
    • From now on, sys-kernel/calculate-sources will be installed with USE=“minimal”.
    • When launching eix-sync for the first time, the Portage tree is deployed from a Git copy.
