Doom3 install - Unknown command 'vid_restart'

I just have tried to install Doom3 and got the error message. I only installed Doom3 nothing else, meaning no other Doom3 available install.

Anybody got this running and knows how to do it :wink:

Last time when I wanted to play doom3 (steam version) on linux, I tried lutris (playonlinux should also work) doom3 install scripts and it worked perfect (except minor issue with setting resolution).

Yep you need original game for it, last time on christams sale it was awfully cheap.
Imo doom3 is mediocre game.
